Our vision
To be the leading platform in the Muslim world for introducing Islamic civilisation, and the travel companion for Islamic cultural tourism.
About us
The story behind Athar
We make the memory of Islamic heritage simple, and put it within every visitor's reach.
At Athar, we make the memory of Islamic heritage simple, grounded in trusted references, so more people can know it and take pride in it.
Athar started with a simple question: why do so many visitors walk past landmarks that are centuries old without knowing their story? The knowledge exists, but it is scattered across books and specialist references. So we brought it into one app: a map that leads you to the place, a verified text and audio narration that tell its story, a historical era that puts it in context, and on-site tours that take you there with a guide who knows it.
We feel a responsibility toward this heritage: to present it accurately and respectfully, and to reach a new generation in a language it understands, so it can build an identity it is proud of.
Our mission
To introduce Islamic landmarks in a simple, verified way that connects visitors with places and their people, and strengthens pride in this heritage across generations.
